Toronto Sceptres pull away from Boston Fleet to win PWHL opener

The Toronto Sceptres' third-period pressure finally paid off as they skated away with a 3-1 win over the Boston Fleet Saturday in the PWHL home opener.

Hannah Miller scored the game-winning goal with 1:38 remaining the third.

Sarah Nurse scored Toronto's first goal, while Emma Maltais added the empty-net tally.

Hilary Knight opened the scoring in the first period, giving Boston a 1-0 lead.
