Toronto Argos sign three players, including former NFLer Samie Parker

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Former NFL wide receiver Samie Parker highlighted a trio of new signings the Toronto Argonauts announced on Thursday.

Parker played 47 regular season games over four years in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs and finished with 110 catches for 1,529 yards and seven touchdowns.

He left the Oregon Ducks in 2003 as the program’s all-time career receiver in both receptions and receiving yards and later when won back-to-back UFL championships as a member of the Las Vegas Locomotives.

The Argos also signed quarterback Trevor Harris and safety Matt Estrada.

Harris was a standout at Edinboro University in the NCAA Division II division and also played for the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions.

Estrada was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice roster for 13 weeks in 2011.

Parker and Estrada signed two-year contracts while Harris signed through 2014.
