Tommaso Baldanzi picks up back injury in Italy U21 match
In addition to Artem Dovbyk, Tommaso Baldanzi has also suffered an injury while on international duty.
The young midfielder was forced to come off in the first half of the match with San Marino while representing Italy’s U21.
The 20-year-old suffered a contusion to his sciatic nerve, which forced him to leave the field in the 24th minute.
Coach Carmine Nunziata promptly replaced the Giallorossi player to avoid further complications.
Baldanzi’s condition will be monitored in the next few hours by the Italy U21 medical staff.
