Well, we know Tom Brady won’t be sitting around his house during all four weekends of his NFL suspension.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday on the Rich Eisen Show that Brady would serve as the team’s honorary captain for its Week 3 game against Colorado. That weekend is Week 2 of the NFL season when Brady’s New England Patriots play the Miami Dolphins.

Brady’s four-game NFL suspension is, as you likely know, a result of the NFL’s investigation (witch hunt?) into the use of deflated footballs during the playoffs following the 2014 season. Brady had appealed the suspension but decided to drop the appeal and accept the NFL’s punishment for Deflategate in July.

The QB joins Michael Jordan and Hank Aaron on the list of honorary captains for Michigan this season. Jordan will serve as the team’s honorary captain on Saturday vs. Hawaii. Michigan recently changed apparel providers from Adidas to Nike and will wear the Jordan brand. Aaron, baseball’s all-time home runs leader among players not named “Barry Bonds” will be the honorary captain on Oct. 22.

Brady played quarterback for the Wolverines from 1996-199 and started in his final two seasons with the team. He threw for 4,773 yards, 30 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in is career before being selected with the No. 199 pick of the 2000 NFL draft by the Patriots.

He was in attendance at Michigan’s signing day extravaganza in February along with a host of other celebrities. Brady didn’t look like he had combed his hair during that February event, but maybe it’s because he was growing it out for the look he’s currently sporting.
