Titans CB Caleb Farley reportedly suffers torn ACL, ending rookie season

The Tennessee Titans pulled out a last-second 34-31 win against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, but it came at a cost. Four players left the game with injuries, and at least one of those injuries is likely season-ending.

Cornerback Caleb Farley has reportedly suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, which will end his rookie season just as it began. Farley went down with a knee injury while tackling Emmanuel Sanders in the second quarter and didn't return to the game.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Farley will be having surgery and is expected to be ready for the 2022 season.

Farley was a first-round draft pick in 2021, and Monday night was his very first start. He was playing for Kristian Fulton, who recently went on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Farley had been limited due to a shoulder injury.

This isn't Farley's first trip to the injury rodeo. He suffered a torn ACL in his first year at Virginia Tech, then had back problems in subsequent years that required surgery. Those injuries played a part in Farley falling to No. 22 in the draft. Farley had similar back problems before the 2021 preseason, which also required surgery.
