Michael Ducote is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.

Ducote is a junior on the Pacelli boys wrestling team. He has an 18-3 record this season, including a five-match winning streak. In the 144-pound weight class. he placed first in the Chattahoochee River Wrestling Association Championships from Dec. 13-14 at Temple High School.

We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male athlete for this poll.

Among this week’s three nominees, Ducote received 69% of the 14,826 votes from our readers. Voting started Tuesday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
