Tim Tebow has a history of doing things that you don’t expect him to — just ask the 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers. Or anybody who witnessed that home run he hit on his first day after being promoted to the St. Lucie Mets.

Maybe he didn’t deserve to get called up in the way that minor leaguers usually do, but so far, let’s be honest, he’s doing more than people have expected from him in his first few days at the next level.

And that also goes for this catch he made Friday night. Take a look:

Admit it. That’s a nice catch, especially for a 6-foot-3 and 255-pound dude, aka not your prototypical MLB outfielder. Tebow hit that wall like a linebacker — which makes a lot of sense, actually.

Mets GM Sandy Alderson admitted publicly on Friday that signing Tebow wasn’t so much about baseball as it was about the “entertainment business.” Here’s the quote via Newsday:

“Look, we signed him because he is a good guy, partly because of his celebrity, partly because this is an entertainment business. My attitude is ‘why not?’ ”

Considering Tebow’s first week at the next level, we have to ask the question: Are you not entertained?
