Tim Means Takes On Alex Oliveira at UFC 207

UFC on FOX 25 Preliminary Card Fighters Snag All of the Fighter Bonuses

A welterweight bout between two fighters on the cusp of cracking the top 15 rankings, Tim Means and Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira, has been added to the UFC 207 fight card. UFC officials announced the match-up on Tuesday.

Means (26-7-1) is coming off back-to-back knockout finishes in his last two outings, since having a four-fight winning streak snapped by Matt Brown in July 2015. “The Dirty Bird” will be looking to break into the rankings with an impressive performance against Oliveira on Dec. 30.

Oliveira (16-3-1-1) tried to compete in the lightweight division in his last fight on Oct. 1 against former Bellator champion Will Brooks. He missed weight, but came away with the win. The bout with Means will be Oliveira's return to the welterweight division after a one-fight hiatus. He's gone 4-1 in the Octagon at 170 pounds and plans to add another win to his welterweight resume to close 2016.

Former women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey returns at UFC 207 to take on current 135-pound titleholder Amanda Nunes in the fight card's main event. Rousey hasn't competed since losing the title to Holly Holm in November 2015, but no one has successfully defended the belt since Rousey relinquished it.
