Tim Hardaway Jr. on beating his dad one-on-one: It happened when I was a sophomore high school
Tim Hardaway Jr on beating his dad one-on-one: "Yeah, I played him one-on-one, my sophomore year I beat him. High school. Went past him and then tried to go for a dunk in front of his friends and he grabbed the back of my jersey in midair and then threw me down on the ground. After that, it was no more one-on-one. That's when I knew I could really compete and hoop with the older guys."

On Cade Cunningham's leadership: "With Cade, he takes the challenge of guarding on the defensive end. He does take the challenge and he takes it seriously. If he sees some guys slipping or slacking, he'll call them out, not to embarrass them but to challenge the others. That's what a true leader does. He's a triple-double machine now. I don't know what got into him, but he's getting them easy." -via YouTube / December 21, 2024
Jim Owczarski: Jaden Ivey (18.6 ppg), Tim Hardaway Jr. (12.5 ppg, 45.7% three-point shooter) and Simone Fontecchio (19 bench minutes per game) are all OUT for the #Pistons tonight vs. the #Bucks. No Ivey is a plus for Milwaukee, as defending explosive guards remains a problem. -via Bluesky / November 13, 2024
Chris Haynes: Sources: Detroit Pistons guard Tim Hardaway Jr. underwent a CAT scan and results were negative. He will be getting stitched up after taking elbow to face and then slamming back of his head against the hardwood. He was wheeled off court.
