This Country star and co-creator Daisy May Cooper has given birth to a baby boy.

The Kerry Mucklowe actor announced via Instagram on Tuesday evening that she had welcomed her first son with husband Will Weston.

Her father Paul Cooper, who played her onscreen dad Martin Mucklowe in the comedy series, reposted the photo noting he was a "very proud grumps".

Cooper went on to post a snap of the tot, herself and her husband, captioning it with love heart emojis.

The comedy writer and her spouse are already parents to daughter Pip, affectionately known as 'Buckbeak', who makes regular appearances on her Instagram page.

This Country came to an end earlier this year with the airing of the third and final season.

Cooper along with her co-star and brother Charlie Cooper brought the stories of their cousin characters Kerry and Kurtan to a close in March.

The acclaimed series saw the siblings pick up the gong for Best Scripted Comedy at the 2018 Baftas, with Cooper also winning the award for Best Female Performance in a Comedy.

While experiencing an initial high over the huge achievements, she's recently revealed she felt "flat" after scooping the prize.

Speaking on White Wine Question Time, she told host Kate Thornton: "You just feel it's very flat. I don't know why the f*** that is!”
