The Premier League Best XI of the season so far

With 14 of 38 game weeks in the books, we have formally reached the halfway stage of the Premier League season. (I know, it hardly seems like yesterday that the Leicester City boys were parading their trophy on the bus.) Thus far, Jose Mourinho has underwhelmed at the helm at Old Trafford, there’s a sneaky suspicion that Pep Guardiola’s techniques have been “found out” while the aforementioned reigning champions currently sit two points above the relegation zone.

Suffice to say, not an awful lot has gone to form in the first half of yet another Premier League season, but the time is right to consider the form of the English top flight’s best players.
