Terrell Owens has fun with 'La La Land' Oscars flub in regards to his Hall of Fame snub

Terrell Owens has said repeatedly this month he doesn’t care about the Pro Football Hall of Fame, though he sure spends a lot of time talking about it.

Owens was surprisingly left out of the Hall of Fame’s 2017 class, despite career statistics that clearly indicate he should be in. So Owens saw a chance to crack a joke Sunday night over the infamous Oscars mistake, when “La La Land” was announced as Best Picture, then everyone had to scramble to inform the audience that actually “Moonlight” won and the wrong card was read.

Now that’s pretty funny.

If you were one of many who heard “La La Land” announced as the Best Picture winner and immediately turned off the television to go to bed, you woke up to pretty surprising news (and let’s leave Warren Beatty alone, he got the wrong card and didn’t want to announce it, and Faye Dunaway was actually the one to announce “La La Land” as the winner).

So yes, after the Oscars announced the wrong Best Picture winner anything seems possible. Maybe the Hall of Fame announcement just got it wrong when it said kicker Morten Andersen got into the Hall of Fame and Owens, who is second all-time in receiving yards and third all-time in receiving touchdowns, did not. At least, that would be a better explanation than what really happened with Owens inexplicably being left out of the Hall of Fame this year.
