Tennessee State's Christian Abercrombie was injured in a September game against Vanderbilt.

Christion Abercrombie will reveal the identity of the Tennessee Titans’ fifth-round pick.

The Titans said Thursday that Abercrombie would announce the team’s selection in the 2019 NFL draft. Abercrombie is recovering from suffering a head injury in Tennessee State’s game against Vanderbilt.

Abercrombie, a linebacker, collapsed on the sidelines in the first half after being involved in what his coach said was simply a “normal football play.” After he collapsed, Abercrombie was given oxygen on the field and rushed to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed. He was listed in critical condition immediately after the surgery.

Since then, Abercrombie has made what his family has termed as a miraculous recovery and also had a second surgery. He recently completed weeks of rehab at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta and, per WSMV 4, his mother said he’s now able to run and work out.
