Temple seniors Haason Reddick and Dion Dawkins will not face trial for charges of felony aggravated assault and conspiracy stemming from an off-campus fight in 2015.

Instead, the two will be placed in a diversionary program, Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD).

“If they don’t get in trouble in an agreed-upon period of time, their records will be expunged,” said James Funt, attorney for Dawkins, told Philly.com.

The two players were suspended from the team in March 2015 for the fight that occurred outside a Philadelphia nightclub on Jan. 18, 2015. Both were accused of seriously injuring Benjamin Wood, a fellow Temple student.

Following the suspension, the Temple Student Conduct Board found that Reddick and Dawkins were not responsible for the alleged actions and they were allowed back on the football team.

Dawkins is the team’s starting left tackle and Reddick is the team’s starting defensive end.

“I am very relieved this is done,” Reddick told Philly.com.
