Taylor Swift and Matty Healy Have Reportedly Broken Up

Attention: Literally everyone!!! Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have broken up after a whirlwind romance that began back in May 2023 on the heels of her breakup with Joe Alwyn after six years. TMZ was the first outlet to report the news, saying a friend close to the sitch between The 1975 frontman and Tay dished that the pop star is “single” again.

Entertainment Tonight also confirmed the breakup, citing this as the reason why Taylor and Matty ultimately didn't work out: "Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they're not really compatible with each other," a source told ET. "Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."

A refresher: Back on May 3, The Sun dropped the bombshell news that the singers were dating. “She and Matty are madly in love,” an insider told the publication at the time. “It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago, but timings just didn’t work out. Taylor and Joe actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover. Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting, but she cannot wait to see him again.”

More recently, Taylor and Matty had been spotted out and about in New York City visiting private members' clubs and iconic recording studios.

Just last month, Matty made an appearance at all three of Taylor's Eras Tour Nashville concerts and even hung out with the singer's dad during her tour stop in Philly. All of this to say that when the breakup news dropped, this was the mood:

TMZ also reported earlier today that there may have been yet another clue that possibly confirms things between the two stars have come to a halt: Matty's behavior at his The 1975 concert this past weekend in Denmark. Historically, the frontman has been known to kiss random people in the crowd during his song “Robbers.” But during a January 2023 concert that Taylor herself attended, he said he was no longer going to do the signature move.

Fast-forward to his performance at the NorthSide Festival this past weekend, and the musician wound up locking lips with a security guard who was close to him...
