Sun-Star’s Best Prep Football: Merced’s Quintell Dupree wins Prep of the Week poll

Merced High quarterback Quintell Dupree needed only one half to account for four touchdowns to help lead the Bears to a win over Gregori last week.

Durpee threw three touchdowns and scored one rushing touchdown against the Jaguars.

Durpee won the Merced Sun-Star Prep of the Week Football Poll.

Durpee earned the most votes for the Merced Sun-Star’s Prep Football Player of the Week. Dupree garnered 1,628 votes, which accounted for 47% of the 3,474 total votes.

Atwater High quarterback AJ Banks finished second with 1,461 votes.
