Subban and Owens face off on the track

On the day Usain Bolt turned 32-years-old, P.K. Subban and Terrell Owens did their best impression of the sprinting legend while training together at UCLA. When the dust settled, a strong start and slight height advantage helped Owens to edge out his puck-playing counterpart.

Subban tweeted out the video of his clash with the 44-year-old former wide receiver on Tuesday afternoon.

The clip might be a good indication that Owens is ready to make a splash in the CFL. Subban is no slouch in the speed department and it appears that the six-time Pro Bowl selection handled him with ease.

Rumours have been circling for a while that Owens may be attempting to make a return to professional football. He worked out with the Saskatchewan Roughriders earlier this month.

Owens has been away from football since 2012; however, his photo with Subban suggests that he’s in game shape and ready to go.

Subban’s Predators advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs earlier this year, falling to the Winnipeg Jets in seven games.

Subban, meanwhile, is gearing up for his ninth NHL season overall and third with the Nashville Predators. The 2013 Norris Trophy winner is coming off another strong campaign where he posted a career-best 16 goals in 82 regular season contests.

Subban will lead a Predators squad that recently locked up Ryan Ellis and has been pegged as a strong threat to win the franchise’s first Stanley Cup this season.
