A tweet from the Marketing Analytics Center at Emory University in Atlanta has gone viral in the hockey-world, as students believe the Nashville Predators should change their name to Sabercats.

After facing backlash from fans, one of the students in the group defended their project.
The assumption that we were actually offended at all I think is what drives most peoples replies here.
But it’s quite the contrary, we just analyzed trend & perception data around the word predator itself to find that it had been trending negatively over the last few decades
