Despite taking a scary-looking line drive off his elbow on Saturday, it appears that Marcus Stroman won’t be missing any time.

The Toronto Blue Jays announced through their PR Twitter account on Thursday that the right-hander will be good to go for his scheduled start Friday.

Stroman was initially diagnosed with a right-elbow contusion after the incident – which certainly looked more dire at the time than it wound up being.

The 26-year-old is in the midst of a fine season where he’s sporting a 3.08 ERA, although his peripherals are virtually unchanged from 2016. He’s been worth 3.1 Wins Above Replacement in 172.1 innings and provided a stabilizing presence in a Blue Jays rotation racked with injury issues.
