Spanish media maintain Atletico’s lead in race for Artem Dovbyk

Despite the reports from Italy stating otherwise, Spanish media claim Atletico Madrid still hold the edge over Roma in the race for Giron’a Dovbyk.

Contrary to what Italian media reports say, Mundo Deportivo states that Atletico Madrid are not at all worried about what is happening with Dovbyk.

The Spanish giants are said to be calm and unbothered by Roma’s advances, and remain confident of being able to close the signing of the attacker soon.

Atletico are firm in their stance and believe their initial agreement with Girona will prevail as the two clubs share an excellent raport.

Moreover, the news portal claims that on the Spanish side, they are convinced that the links with Roma are only bait from the player’s agent meant to increase his own commissions.
