Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic is expected to undergo surgery to repair a fracture in his left hand and be sidelined six to eight weeks, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Vucevic, 27, suffered a break in the first metatarsal in his hand during the Magic’s road game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night. He’s been one of the Magic’s leaders this season, averaging 17.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Orlando was 11-22 entering Saturday’s game and will miss Vucevic’s reliable production.

Vucevic has played seven NBA seasons, beginning with Philadelphia in 2011-12 and emerging as a double-double player in six seasons with the Magic.
