Yahoo Sports Sources: Kawhi Leonard to miss rest of Western Conference finals, not ruled out of possible NBA Finals appearance
Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out of the remainder of the Western Conference finals series against the Phoenix Suns, league sources said.
Leonard sustained a knee injury in the Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz and has been sidelined with a right knee sprain since.
However, Leonard could still play in the NBA Finals, should the Clippers advance, as he has not been ruled out for the rest of the season. He has been rehabbing the injury in L.A. and is progressing in his recovery.
If Los Angeles wins the West, Leonard's camp and the Clippers will meet after the Suns series to determine whether Leonard will play in the Finals, sources said.

Kawhi Leonard's knee injury timeline
Leonard had already been ruled out of Wednesday's Game 6. The Suns lead, 3-2, after the Clippers won Game 5 on Monday. If necessary, Game 7 will be Friday.
The NBA Finals could start on either July 6 or July 8, depending on the length of the Eastern Conference finals.
He last played on June 14 in Game 4 of the West semifinals against the Jazz. Leonard sprained his knee in the fourth quarter of that game and was ruled out of the remainder of that series. Initially, it was feared that he suffered a significant ACL injury.
Leonard has not played in the Western Conference finals and has been seen watching games from Staples Center suites.
