Sources: Reggie Williams, Heat agree on one-year deal

Free-agent forward Reggie Williams has reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Williams is expected to play a bench scoring role for the Heat, who are searching for younger, athletic players to bolster their roster.

Williams, 27, has played with three teams in parts of five NBA seasons. He played three games for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2013-'14 season. He averaged 8.5 points in his stops in Golden State, Charlotte and OKC.

Williams played his college basketball at Virginia Military Institute.
