Restricted free-agent guard Iman Shumpert has reached agreement on a four-year, $40 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The contract includes a player option on the fourth season, sources said.

Shumpert, 25, came to the Cavaliers in January last season when the New York Knicks traded him and J.R. Smith for a 2019 second-round pick. Shumpert averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 38 games for the Cavs last season and was the starting shooting guard during their run to the NBA Finals.

Shumpert spent his first three-plus seasons with the Knicks, who took him with the 17th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft.

The Cavaliers previously reached agreements to re-sign Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson.
