Free-agent forward DeMarre Carroll has agreed to a four-year, $60 million deal with the Toronto Raptors, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Carroll leaves the Atlanta Hawks to join the Raptors, who will likely lose forward Amir Johnson in free agency.

Carroll gives the Raptors an elite defender and a skilled offensive player as general manager Masai Ujiri reshapes his roster.

Carroll averaged 12.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 70 games for the Hawks last season.

The Raptors can't officially sign Carroll until July 9 when the NBA's free-agent moratorium ends.
