Source: Illinois State DE Colton Underwood visited Chargers, Chiefs worked out for Patriots
Illinois State outside linebacker-defensive end Colton Underwood visited the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday, according to a league source.
Underwood has also visited the Kansas City Chiefs. He's worked out privately for the New England Patriots and has two upcoming workouts.
Underwood is a 6-foot-2, 256-pound first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and a third-team All-American.
He recorded 66 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick last season.
At his campus Pro Day workout, Underwood ran the 40-yard dash in 4.69 seconds, bench pressed 225 pounds 26 times with a 36-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot broad jump.
