West Virginia defensive end Larry Jefferson was arrested on drug charges Tuesday and subsequently removed from the team’s online roster. Jefferson, who played in nine games last season as a reserve, was suspended during spring ball for violating team rules. He had yet to be reinstated at the time of his arrest.

Officers found Jefferson in possession of small amounts of marijuana and cocaine, according to the West Virginia MetroNews.

P.J. Fleck’s Western Michigan Broncos are the media pick to win the MAC this season. WMU is also predicted to win the West Division with Bowling Green edging out Ohio and Akron in the East.
