Penn State’s James Franklin is entering his third year and expectations are rising. He made it clear that the program is just now at a full number of scholarships stemming from NCAA sanctions.

Longtime assistant Tracy Claeys is now the full-time head coach at Minnesota. He traveled to Chicago with quarterback Mitch Leidner, a media days veteran.

Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh spoke last and was his usual quirky self. He also had extremely high praise for junior Jabrill Peppers.

East Carolina is doing it all it can to land a spot in the Big 12 apparently.
