Soccer Olympian Christine Sinclair in Saskatoon

One of Canada's biggest stars at the 2012 London Olympics, Christine Sinclair, will meet fans in Saskatoon Sunday during a stop for a friendly soccer game.

The 29-year-old from Burnaby, B.C. was Canada's athlete of the year for 2012. She will be joined by fellow Olympian Kaylyn Kyle of Saskatoon.

Both athletes will play in a friendly match made of players from the city's under-18 girls gold medalist team and a few players from other under-18 teams.

“This will be a lot of fun for the players in the tournament, and for Christine and myself,” says Kyle. “We both look forward to meeting soccer fans and sports fans in general.”

The game started at 11:45 a.m. CST.

Sinclair and Kyle will be signing autographs and meeting fans at the Xtratime Sports Soccer Locker store at 2 p.m. CST.
