Soccer fans come for TFC game, stay to watch Raptors at BMO Field
Jurassic Park has been receiving plenty of attention throughout the Toronto Raptors’ historic playoff run. Stories of fans lining up for hours to stand outside of Scotiabank Arena for the opportunity to watch their team on a massive screen have been nauseatingly common.
Similar setups to Jurassic Park have popped up throughout the country during Toronto’s march to the first NBA title in franchise history. On Friday night, though, the best place to watch the game may not have been at any of these locations.
Following TFC’s 2-2 draw against Sporting Kansas City in MLS action at BMO Field in Toronto, many fans stayed to watch Game 4 of the NBA Finals on the venue’s giant screen.
And, even after cheering on TFC for 90 minutes, those in attendance still had plenty left in the tank for the Raptors.

Even some TFC players, including defender Justin Morrow (below), stuck around to take in the action.

Thankfully for the many that didn’t go anywhere, the Raptors made it worth their while as they won the contest 105-92 to move within one win of Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
