Barcelona transfer ban lifted pending appeal - FIFA

(Reuters) - Barcelona's transfer ban has been temporarily lifted pending an appeal, soccer's governing body FIFA said on Wednesday. FIFA confirmed that Barcelona had appealed the decision to ban the club from taking part in the next two transfer windows. "The chairman of the FIFA Appeal Committee considered that the appeal lodged by the club is to be granted suspensive effect," FIFA said in a statement.
