Slaven Bilic says West Ham are ready to both sell and buy players before the summer transfer window shuts.

The Hammers have already brought in Javier Hernandez, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Sead Haksabanovic this summer, but are without a point in their opening two Premier League games.

Bilic insists that while he is happy with his squad following defeats to Manchester United and Southampton, he is looking to bring in one more player.

William Carvalho is a target and talks are ongoing between the two clubs, but Bilic is still waiting on news regarding a potential deal.

"We are still waiting for that," Bilic told Sky Sports News.

"We will wait and see what happens in the last week of the transfer window to see if somebody is going to leave or go out, or if somebody is going to come in.

"There is a week in front of us and, like most of the clubs, we are ready to do something both ways, in case something good comes on a plate."

Last season’s January signing Robert Snodgrass has been linked with a move away from the club having not scored a single goal since making the move from Hull, though Bilic insists that he is no problems with the make-up of his squad.

"I am happy with the squad now," he added.

"I said that I would like to have one more and then after that if somebody leaves we have to fill that gap because we don’t have a big, big squad.

"This is our squad for the season, or at least until January."
