Sky: Musah and Pulisic in the front four – the line-up Fonseca tried in training
AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has tried a rather interesting starting line-up in training ahead of the game against Empoli, a report claims.
According to the latest from Sky, Fonseca used his final training session before the game against the side from Tuscany to try a rather interesting attack in the 4-2-3-1 system that we have become accustomed to.
Alvaro Morata was the one leading the line – who is back after serving a suspension in midweek – with Rafael Leao on the left wing. Nothing too strange thus far, but the source claim Yunus Musah was used on the right with Christian Pulisic the attacking midfielder.
Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders were the central midfield pairing, then Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw and Theo Hernandez were the back four.
Tested Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson Roayal, Thiaw, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Fofana, Reijnders; Musah, Pulisic, Leao; Morata.

During his pre-match press conference, Fonseca was asked about the possibility of their being some surprises in the line-up and he certainly suggested that there could be.
“I can’t say anything, but in an hour you’ll know which team will play. It’s not me who’s talking. Something dramatic? Maybe (laughs). Maybe there’s something different,” was his response.
