Single vehicle crash in Scott County leaves one person dead, sheriff’s office says
One person died in Scott County Sunday as a result of a single-vehicle crash, according to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
The wreck happened around 9:53 a.m. in the area of McClelland Circle near Burton Pike, the sheriff’s office said. The vehicle was found roughly 100 yards off the road in a field.
The driver was declared dead on scene, according to the sheriff’s office. Scott County Coroner Mark Sutton later confirmed the victim to be Jason Darrow, 45.
The preliminary investigation determined the driver was ejected from the car, according to the sheriff’s office. The investigation is being handled by the sheriff’s office.
