Memphis wide receiver Jae’Lon Oglesby and cornerback Kam Prewitt have been suspended indefinitely after an alleged physical altercation between the two Tuesday.

Oglesby also told police his car was shot at late Tuesday night after the two had been in their dispute, though he wasn’t sure who fired the shots. From the Memphis Commercial-Appeal:

Oglesby told police that he was sitting in his apartment in the 600 block of Patterson Street at around 10 p.m. Tuesday when he heard several gunshots outside. He noticed bullet holes in two windows and both of the passenger-side doors of his Nissan Altima, as well as bullet damage to the roof of the car, according to a police report. While he did not see who fired the shots, Oglesby told officers that he had a physical altercation with Prewitt earlier in the day.

The CA reported later Thursday morning that Prewitt was taken to the hospital because of mouth injuries from the altercation, which was reportedly over video games.

Coach Mike Norvell said he would have no other comment about the matter until an investigation into the incident is complete. While a statement from the school said it was “aware of the incident involving two student-athletes” and was also monitoring the “second situation” involving the gunshots.

The Commercial Appeal reported five casings were found by police next to Oglesby’s car in addition to a blue shoe.

Oglesby has five catches for 46 yards in 2016. He had 19 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown in 2015. Prewitt is a redshirt freshman who redshirted in 2015 and hasn’t played in 2016.
