Shaver Lake was just the start. Here’s where to see more fireworks in Fresno, Valley

Saturday night’s aerial fireworks in the skies above Shaver Lake in eastern Fresno County was among a handful of early Independence Day pyrotechnic displays over the Fourth of July weekend.

But more explosives remain to be fired – responsibly, by trained personnel – at events and venues throughout Fresno and the Valley on Monday night.

Other events that got an early start on the fireworks included a baseball tournament at Granite Park in central Fresno, and Wild Water Adventures, a water park east of Clovis that had shows on Friday and Saturday nights.

If the crowds that flocked to the shoreline of Shaver Lake in the Sierra Nevada northeast of Fresno are any indication, there will be sizable audiences for other shows in the region, particularly as fire departments and law enforcement pledge a crackdown on people shooting off illegal fireworks. The city of Fresno, for example, is upping its enforcement of illegal fireworks this year and increased the amount of possible fines up to $5,000.

Here’s a list of remaining fireworks shows compiled by The Fresno Bee staff:

Wild Water Adventure Park in Clovis is offering a weekend’s worth of fireworks shows. Its annual Star Spangled Revue begins at dark Monday. Tickets are $49.99 on Monday; season passes are not valid July 4.

The Kiwanis Club of Clovis hosts its annual Freedom Fest celebration, starting at 5 p.m. Monday at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High School, with fireworks at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Fowler hosts its 4th of July Fireworks Show as a celebration of (and fundraiser for) the city’s 150th anniversary. The show happens 6 p.m. Monday at the Fowler High School football field. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Tickets $10-$15.

The Fresno Grizzlies love firework shows. The baseball club hosts its biggest, the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, following the final out in a game against the San Jose Giants on Monday. Game time is 6:35 p.m. Tickets start at $15.

Bass Lake’s fireworks show and boat parade will happen Monday, July 4. The parade starts at 7 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. between the Pines and Forks resorts. The Pines Resort is offering a buffet dinner with live music and various seating options to watch the show.

Visalia’s Rawhide baseball team will also have fireworks following its Monday night game against the Lake Elsinore Storm. The Red, White and Baseball Extravaganza starts at 7 p.m. at the Valley Strong Ballpark. Tickets start at $18.
