Hearts head coach Neil Critchley confirms Lawrence Shankland's calf issue will keep him out for the next while.

"He's had a scan and he's going to be missing for the next few weeks," he tells BBC Scotland.

"It's not serious but it's going to keep him out for the next couple of weeks."

On Shankland's future at the club, Critchley says: "I don't know. You can never predict what's going to happen in January and with him being out of contract in the summer.

"I'm sure people will look at that elsewhere, though the injury may decide otherwise. But Shanks is still here and we're planning with him. But we have to be prepared for every scenario."
