'We are seeing improvement' - Nuno on referee standards
Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has commented on his and the club's improving relationships with match officials, after last season criticising decisions made in their defeat at Everton.
"This is what is normal - in my view, what happened before was not normal," Nuno said before Forest's first return to Goodison Park.
"I think we are seeing a season of improvement and we are delighted because what we wanted is to play the game and ignore everything else."
Indeed, the Forest boss believes refereeing standards have improved across the board in the Premier League, adding: "For everybody, for every team. I am not following every team but we have the sense that they are doing well.
"I hope it continues because us coaches and players we don't want to think about the referee - we just want to play football."
