Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 matchup

Two teams looking to end losing skids meet when Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks travel to Detroit to take on Jared Goff's Detroit Lions.

Dan Campbell and the Lions came within inches of a Week 3 win over NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings but were ultimately doomed by a late touchdown. Meanwhile, the Seahawks failed to get over the Atlanta Falcons. Which 1-2 team will get back to an even record? The game kicks off Sunday at 1 p.m. from Ford Field.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Seahawks vs. Lions Week 4 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Lions 26, Seahawks 19

With Detroit, it’s a question about finishing. The Lions have shown they can score points in bursts, but they’ve also shown they can yield big plays far too often. Still, I like the Lions in this matchup because I simply don’t think the Seahawks can keep pace with Detroit’s offense.

Lions coach Dan Campbell must be kicking himself — and that would be a sight to see. Campbell trotted out his kicker for a 54-yard field goal on fourth down after going for it on fourth down six times (yeah, six!) during their loss against the Vikings. Detroit lost a prime opportunity to go 2-1 and win their first road game since 2020. But Campbell and the Lions will learn and adjust. They are playing well compared to their past. And they should take care of a Seahawks team worse than them this week.

Lance Pugmire: Lions 31, Seahawks 21

Hard to know what Detroit and coach Dan Campbell will do except score points, so best to bank on Jared Goff being better than Geno Smith in this spot.

Nate Davis: Lions 30, Seahawks 22
