After Braydon Schenn delivered a less-than-ideal pass in his direction, Sean Couturier turned what should have been a broken play into something special.

Couturier reached behind him and got his stick on the seemingly errant feed, cradling the puck forward and going off his skate before making a move and sliding it through the wickets of Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk.

Pretty slick, but the Flyers’ 2016-17 season has been anything but smooth.

The 24-year-old’s 12th goal of the season helped Philadelphia to a 3-1 win over the Wild on Thursday, but it’s all a little bit too late for a Flyers club that currently sits second last in the Metropolitan division and is bound to miss the playoffs—despite stringing together a 10-game win streak earlier in the season.

The Wild, meanwhile, haven’t been much better as of late. After hovering around the top of the NHL standings for much of the season, Minnesota has dropped eight of its last 11 games and sit eight points back of first-place Chicago in the Central Division.
