Scott Darling has street named after him in Chicago

Scott Darling was the first Chicago-area raised player to win the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks, and on Monday, he celebrated in his hometown.

Darling took the trophy to Lemont, a suburb of Chicago, and celebrated with local fans. Lemont re-named 4th street, which was the street Darling grew up on, to Scott Darling Dr.

The mayor of Lemont also dubbed Monday as "Scott Darling day", while the official hashtag for the event was "#LemontsDarling".

The 26-year-old backup goaltender posted a .936 save percentage in five playoff games for the Hawks and was a key contributor, especially in round one against the Nashville Predators.
