Scheming duo sought by police after bold Happy Valley-Goose Bay truck theft

9 people arrested in Grand Rapids, Chemawawin

A pickup truck is missing and two people are sought by police, following a robbery in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Friday night.

It was just after midnight when a town resident driving down Hamilton River Road spotted a female lying in the middle of the road. When he stopped, a male came up to the truck and began hammering on the window with a metal object.

The driver got out of the vehicle and fled, while the two suspects — the male and the female — escaped in the truck. Both are described as being in their late 20s or early 30s.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating the black 2014 GMC Sierra pickup, with a black box cap and a Toronto Maple Leafs sticker on the box cap door. The truck has Newfoundland and Labrador plates, numbered CWN 419.

RCMP is requesting anybody with information on the incident to call them at 709-896-3383 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
