Sabres Forward Showed Off Classy Goal Celebration Against Sharks

Buffalo Sabres forward Peyton Krebs scored in the first period of last night's game against the San Jose Sharks and celebrated with a classy tribute to Joe Thornton.

Krebs walked down the left side and beat Mackenzie Blackwood with a terrific wrist shot on his blocker side.

What followed was pure class from the 23-year-old. Krebs wears No. 19, and as his teammates got to him to celebrate his third goal of the season, the forward pointed to the newly raised Thornton banner and then to his back.

Krebs wasn't the only player to pay tribute to Thornton. Fabian Zetterlund scored before Krebs and celebrated with a beard motion, and pointed to the banner.

"[I] think it was [my idea]," Zetterlund said postgame. "[Thornton has] a big beard. I can't grow one that long. Maybe wait a year or two."
