In case you haven’t noticed, Cristiano Ronaldo signing with Juventus is kind of a big deal.

In fact, the Ronaldo effect in Italy has been so strong that the football star’s new Juve jerseys are just flying off the shelves. According to the Italian Press, the club sold more than 520K number seven uniforms on the very first day of its official release.

As the graphic above indicates, Ronaldo’s early uniform sales are pretty significant. The 520K Ronaldo kits sold amount to 61% of all jerseys sold by the club throughout the entire calendar year of 2016.

Authentic soccer jerseys sell for about €104 ($160CA), while replicas go for a retail price of €45. With that in mind, Juventus likely brought in anywhere between $35-million to $83-million in one day of Ronaldo jersey sales. Certainly not a bad day at the club shop.

Ronaldo will be officially introduced by the team on July 16th as he completes a €105-million transfer from Real Madrid.
