Roma are keeping their options open as they continue their search for a replacement of Romelu Lukaku.

With Big Rom gone back to Chelsea, the Giallorossi have yet to secure a new striker for Daniele De Rossi.

At the moment, Villareal’s Alexander Sorloth appears to be in pole position to join Roma in the coming weeks.

However, Corriere dello Sport writes that negotiations with Villareal could prove more difficult than anticipated and that’s why Roma are also studying a move for Karim Konate of Salzburg.

The 20-year-old is coming off an impressive season in the Austrian Bundesliga with 20 goals and 2 assists in 29 appearances.

Konate’s price tag is also quite elevated: 35 million euros.
