Roma in pole position to land Beto in January

Roma are apparently closing in on Portugal-born striker Beto from Everton.

According to Tuttosport, the Giallorossi are currently in pole position to land the ex-Udinese man in January.

The reason for Roma’s advantage in this situation stems from the fact that Roma president Dan Friedkin has completed Everton’s takeover in recent days.

Torino also appear interested in Beto. However, Roma maintain first place as they are determined to bring in a suitable back-up option for Artem Dovbyk.

The capital club have also made their first inquiries for the attacker who has collected only 9 appearances for Everton this season.
