Roma expected to get in touch with Massimiliano Allegri in next weeks
Roma are seriously considering handing over the team to Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the season.
The former Juventus manager appears to be in pole position to become Roma’s next head coach.
Given his extensive experience in Serie A, Allegri is momentarily leading the race that involves another veteran candidate such as Carlo Anecelotti.
According to Corriere dello Sport, if Allegri is still free in the next few weeks, new contacts are expected with Giovanni Branchini, his agent-friend.
The capital club will do anything to accommodate a top level coach.
Ranieri’s role in these discussions will also be key as the two men share a great rapport.
The only threat is posed by Milan who have been eyeing Allegri for a while as a potential replacement of Paulo Fonseca.
