Rian Johnson posts 'Knives Out' movie script and others online

Rian Johnson appears to be hinting that any and all budding screenwriters could be using this unprecedented lock down period to pen that unwritten movie.

The director and writer dropped on his Twitter feed news that he's just uploaded the final shooting script for his hit murder mystery Knives Out.

As such, fans of the movie are also treated to a few elements of the finished product which didn't make it to the big screen.

And that's not all – he's also uploaded the scripts for some of his other movie projects too.

The Brothers Bloom is there, his 2008 sibling con-man comedy, as is the script for the 2012 high-concept sci-fi Looper.

In addition, he's uploaded both the script and the original novella for Brick, his directorial debut released in 2005.

But as he notes, the script for The Last Jedi does not feature.

Johnson – also known for his work on Breaking Bad – both directed and penned the middle movie in the last Star Wars trilogy.

And while it was reviewed more favourably than J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it remains something of a controversial movie among ardent Star Wars fans.

Johnson has already confirmed that he will be working on a sequel to Knives Out, however, following another case for Daniel Craig's southern detective Benoit Blanc.

Lionsgate, the studio behind the $312 million box office hit (despite its all-star ensemble cast, it cost just $40 million to make), has hinted that it could roll the movies out as a new franchise.
