Reporter ejected from press box by Eagles after he was reportedly talking too loud
While a fairly meaningless Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys game was going on Sunday, reporters were suddenly fired up when a fellow reporter was ejected from the press box.
What was the offense committed by Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Jeff McLane? He was … talking too loud.
Apparently, according to an account by Philadelphia Daily News reporter Les Bowen, McLane and others were talking too loud, were admonished and McLane disagreed with the admonishment. Here’s Bowen’s tweets on what happened:
During confusion over a penalty a while ago, we were all trying to figure out the call. An Eagles staffer yelled for us to be quiet. (1)

(2) Many of us took exception, Jeff most vocally. He then went to the staffer and calmly discussed why the admonishment was inappropriate.

(3) A while, later, security guard comes and tells Jeff he is being ejected "for violating the fan code of conduct."

Bowen wasn’t happy to see that one of his colleagues was ejected from the press box during a game, something you practically never see.
This is the most vengeful, petty Eagles regime I've dealt with since I started covering the team in 2002. #Ejectthat

And the drama in the press box ended up getting more attention from Eagles reporters on Twitter than the game itself, which was mostly a snoozer as Mark Sanchez played most of it for a disinterested Dallas team.

Bowen identified Eagles senior vice president Anne Gordon as the one who had McLane ejected.
#Eagles Anne Gordon is former "managing editor/vice president of news for The Philadelphia Inquirer"…@Jeff_McLane's current employer. https://t.co/PUbIPZa335

So 2017 is off to a good start for the relationship between the Eagles and the Philadelphia media.
