Marco Pappa to transfer to SC Heerenveen immediately

Guatemalan playmaker and Chicago Fire star Marco Pappa could leave for Wigan Athletic as soon as his contract with MLS expires this winter.

The left-footed Pappa is apparently sought by the Premier League club, as reports posted by MLS' official website have illustrated.

Pappa would leave Chicago on a free transfer, after the Illinois squad and league itself has refused time and time again to sell the player following interest mainly from the Eredivisie.

According to Guatemalan press, SC Heerenveen still appears as a viable option for the 24-year-old, as the club managed by Marco Van Basten has submitted more than one offer for the national team member.
